I let go first.
Jaquelyn Musselman
I think it's incredibly important that the book starts in Sophie's perspective and ends the same. I also think it's powerful for it to end with her having this power to let go after Peter being the one to always let go of their hugs first. This is also deeper than the hug though. She's letting go of the person who she believed defined her and getting ready to be her own person. She will always have Peter as a friend, but he's not the sole person she can go to, she's growing and becoming Sophie.
