Had to look it up. Macbeth, Act III, Scene 4. Meaning: (thank you, www!) The quote "I am in blood / Stepped in so far that should I wade no more, / Returning were as tedious as go o'er" means that for Macbeth, it would be equally difficult to try to reform his ways as to continue in tyranny.
