When I was writing this book, I talked to my friend Sophie, who co-slept with her youngest child for many months. Sophie is a highly trained doctor, and clearly not ignorant of the risks of co-sleeping. She told me she didn’t make this decision lightly, and she didn’t disagree with the AAP’s guidelines.
