A school counselor or psychologist meets individually with students at school. There are about 16 meetings in all, each lasting no more than 20 minutes. The program focuses on practical skills needed for academic success. For example, to better organize their materials, students are taught how to arrange their backpacks, binders, and lockers more efficiently.
