I couldn’t cope when Lester rejected me. It didn’t just feel like I’d lost my boyfriend, it felt like I’d lost my future. I also felt like I’d lost my friends. I no longer felt welcome among the people I’d been spending three nights a week with for the last eighteen months. I felt alone and lost, and I didn’t know how to deal with those feelings at all.
