If thinking critically is a skill, being critical is a snare. And I’m choosing the word snare for a reason. I bumped into this word while preaching on Proverbs 29:25: “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” I love this axiom from King Solomon and I’ve learned to love the word snare.
