Someone else actually won the Republican primary, but the GOP powers that be paid no mind to that, installing Henry into the race due to the greater name recognition she had garnered from her radio career. In a recent debate with her Democratic rival, incumbent Eddie Day Pashinski, she repeatedly claimed not to know enough about this or that policy issue, and needed to learn more before committing to a position.
