Cohen too insists that the conservatism he defends is not political Conservatism (or what he calls “big-C Conservatism”) as it is understood in the United Kingdom or the United States. For one thing, what he favors is the conservation of intrinsic value, and since injustice and exploitation lack such value, there is no case for conserving them.
