The Last Lecture

“When a parent dies at such an early age, some children think that other normal life cycle events may not happen for them, either.”

“Tell your friend that in his death, a part of you dies and goes with him. Wherever he goes, you also go. He will not be alone.” In his email to me, this man was reassuring: “I know you are not alone.”

A lot of kids ask, “Why? Why? Why?” One rule in our house is that you may not ask one-word questions.

“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.”
