You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. (Gen. 50:20) Even when people intend to harm us, God is still in control. No matter what their motive was or how it impacts our life for a time, God is with us and He will bring good from it. That’s what Paul was saying to the church in Rome when he reminded them that “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (Rom. 8:28).
