if an argument is sound, the conclusion is true. However, the converse is not true. An unsound argument can still have a conclusion that happens to be true, even though the argument doesn’t support it. Someone might argue that the sun is a sphere because spheres are pretty—that isn’t a sound argument, but the conclusion is still true.
