Sagan investigated what we thought in the past, and how new discoveries changed our thinking. In one episode he dedicated a segment to questioning the alleged evidence for alien visitation. That segment was a revelation. If there was ever a moment when I tipped over into becoming a skeptic, that was it. Here was a respected scientist carefully arguing with logic and evidence why the case for UFOs was not compelling. In fact it was utter crap.
