In 1990, the twentieth anniversary of de Gaulle’s death, the fiftieth anniversary of his Appel and the hundredth anniversary of his birth offered the opportunity for a triple celebration. In that year the Fondation Charles de Gaulle organized a centennial conference whose seven published volumes run to a total of 4,000 pages. Twenty years later, on 18 June 2010, three television channels covered the anniversary celebrations live for several hours.
