The people on top, the exceptional ones, are the people who hear, “You can’t do this” and they tell that voice to fuck off. Especially when that voice is their own.
Failure is not a life sentence. Falling down is a moment, that’s all. And like every other moment in your life, you can make it work for you if you believe in yourself, have the nerve, and put in the work to stand up again.
Don’t ever underestimate the power you can give someone else by believing in them. It’s one of the most powerful things in the world.
THIS IS THE first step toward what I call “living with an attitude of gratitude.” You can either wallow in your circumstance, or appreciate the opportunity to change whatever in your life you want to change.
Never underestimate the power you give someone by believing in them.
I heard Zig Ziglar say: “You can get everything in life you want if you just help others get what they want.”
If you would have told me the worst thing to happen to me as a wrestler— a severe back injury—would turn out to be the best thing to happen to me, I would have said you were crazy. But that’s exactly what happened. There’s a reason why I stress to you that you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it, even if sometimes you just need a little evidence. Belief in yourself combined with hard work can result in the realization of your wildest dreams.
