Made for Friendship: The Relationship That Halves Our Sorrows and Doubles Our Joys

The apostle Paul said that God entrusts us—his enemies turned friends, his reconciled ones—with “the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18–21). Here’s what this means: we not only become friends with God, we get to make friends for God. He entrusts us with the ministry of making friends for him. This involves extending God’s offer of fellowship through Christ to our neighbors and the nations.
