I liked it fine, but I didn’t come home and say, ‘Wow, I’m really glad I helped this big corporation process their data more efficiently!’ ” Young children, on the other hand, offer adults the chance to engage in life’s more tactile pleasures and tangible, real-world pursuits. They provide an opportunity for agency, for being able to do something and actually see its effect.
