(Luke 19:8).
If you have cheated anyone, and do not restore what you have taken unjustly, or if you have injured anyone, and do not set about to undo the wrong you have done, as far as in you lies, you have not truly repented.”
(Exodus 22:1).
(verse 5).
(Leviticus 6:2-5)
(Numbers 5:5-8)
if we have started some slander, or some false report about him or her – let’s do all in our power to undo the wrong.
(Isaiah 58:4-5)
(Isaiah 58:6-7)
(Isaiah 58:8-9a)
We will be a light to shine God’s truth on others when we turn fully to the Lord, and he will hear us when we cry.
(Psalm 35:13).
We ought to be more thankful for what we get from God.
Psalm 33:1:
‘Evil’ and ‘unthankful’ are twins that live and die together; as any one ceases to be evil, he begins to be thankful.
(Isaiah 63:8).
(Psalm 36:8 KJV).
(Psalm 149:1-2, 5-6 KJV).
(2 Chronicles 5:11-14)
(2 Chronicles 20:20-22)
However great our difficulties, or deep even our sorrows, there is room for thankfulness.
(Psalm 50:15).
(Philippians 4:6).
(Colossians 1:3).
Even if nothing else called for thankfulness, the truth that Jesus Christ loves us and gave himself for us would always be an ample cause for it.
(Hebrews 13:15).
The next thing is perhaps the most difficult of all to deal with – forgiveness.
If we allow the root of bitterness to spring up in our hearts against someone, our prayers will not be answered.
(Romans 8:14).
(1 John 3:10).
(Matthew 6:12).
(Matthew 6:14-15).
Notice that when you go into the door of God’s kingdom, you go in through the door of forgiveness.
If we are unwilling to forgive others, God cannot forgive us.
(Matthew 5:23-24).
but it is Christlike to forgive and be forgiven.
I believe true forgiveness includes forgetting the offense – putting it entirely away out of our hearts and memories.
(Ezekiel 18:22).
(Hebrews 10:17).
Jeremiah 50:20:
(Matthew 18:15).
(Matthew 18:21-22).
The voice of sin may be loud, but the voice of forgiveness is louder.
(Psalm 32:1-5)
(Matthew 6:14-15).
The next thing we need to have, if we would get our prayers answered, is unity.
Where there is bickering and divisions, and where the spirit of unity is absent, there is very little blessing and praise.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-6).
(John 13:35).
(1 Corinthians 1:10-13)
