Buddhist practice doesn’t end suffering; suffering is a lifelong reality. But we can let go of our attachment to avoiding suffering, which paradoxically causes us so much avoidable suffering. This is a tricky concept to grasp, because we can’t do away with our craving to not suffer by simple force of will.
