once Google came to the table with a willingness to share advertising revenue with rights holders, a lot of them (Viacom notwithstanding) were willing to play ball. At least Google/YouTube was offering Hollywood some kind of revenue stream. Digital revenue might not be as lucrative as the old analog revenue streams but, well, that was the Napster lesson, right? Better to take what you could get and embrace new distribution models rather than fight them.
