If you’re bored while you travel, ask yourself why you’re doing it. Why did you start? Are those reasons still important to you? Maybe you need to get back on mission, if so. If they’re not important, is there anything you still want out of travel? Most people who start down the nomadic path find more and more reasons to travel, but not everyone does. Maybe you’re done. Figure out why you’re traveling, work towards fulfilling that goal, and you’ll lose your boredom.
Travel isn’t fulfilling by definition, though. It’s a great avenue through which to add fulfillment in your life, but it requires you to figure out what you need to be fulfilled, and than using travel to get it.
Some people use travel as a way to perpetually party on the cheap. That can be fun, but it won’t be much more fulfilling than doing the same back home. The same is true even with more “cultural” things like visiting historic monuments. Maybe that’s something that fulfills some people, but if it doesn’t do much for you, you should be doing something different with your time. The best way to think of travel is to think of it as multiplying your freedom. Your world goes from one or two cities to, well, the whole world.
