When looking for a loyalty program, what you should care most about is how many points you will earn for any given flight. A program with a mile-based earning scheme rather than a dollar-based earning scheme will always earn more points over the long run. You should also care about which airlines credit to that airline. If it’s just one obscure airline, the points won’t do you any good.
