If things aren’t good, I have no problem saying so. Because cats are creatures that can say no.
Satoru stood up with his suitcase. He opened the front door without taking my basket with him.
I’ll never, ever let you leave me behind.
“It’s not like I want to leave you. I love you, you silly cat!”
Come back! Come back! Come back! COME BACK! I’m your cat till the bitter end!
Humans are good at making colors, but they can’t seem to reproduce the power of natural ones.
Forever and ever I am your cat, Satoru.
Tell me, Satoru. What’s out there beyond this field? A lot of wonderful things, I’m thinking. I wonder if I’ll be able to go on a trip with you again.
My story will be over soon. But it’s not something to be sad about. As we count up the memories from one journey, we head off on another. Remembering those who went ahead. Remembering those who will follow after. And someday, we will meet all those people again, out beyond the horizon.
