Nothing can drive a man crazy faster than waiting on something that means a lot to him. To have no control over something so important lets a fella know right where he stands in the grand scheme of things. Somewhere pretty damn close to nowhere. Maybe that’s why I feel so lost.

“We’re never as lost as it seems, Murray,” Father says. “There’s always a path to take. But we have to want to take it.”
