One requirement of achieving the Spartan way of life is changing eating habits from calorie-dense to nutrient-rich. This means eating lots of whole foods—food that is as close to its natural form as possible, like fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes, nuts, grass-fed meats, seafood, and eggs.
