Some of the clearest distinctions that I experienced between Koori and Western learning systems were in regard to a sense of belonging, contextualisation and relatedness within the former. Further, there was often conflict between what I knew of Aboriginal culture and knowledges from being taught outside of the classroom and what was being taught in the classroom. Outside the classroom, my peers and I were experiencing the richness of a vibrant, active and living culture.
