The Innovator attacks traditional values (the Tao) in defence of what he at first supposes to be (in some special sense) ‘rational’ or ‘biological’ values.
Not quite…. It depends, of course, on the specific “traditional” values under discussion. Some, such as unquestioned patriarchy, a hierarchy of “races”, etc, are and ought to be critically abandoned. Others, such as the Golden Rule, might withstand the scrutiny.
