Why is this not preached every Sunday morning?
And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
no longer defined by what we’ve done. We’re defined by what Jesus has done for us.
The gospel is that Jesus was judged for our sins so that we would never have to be judged for them.
Jesus will be the final judge (Acts 17:31; John 5:22, 27; 2 Timothy 4:1). Do you really think that after becoming our sin and taking the punishment for our sin, He would really judge us again? No way! That’s why when He returns, He will not deal with our sin
Jesus has forgiven us all our sins “by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13).
