This is the day that God has made. This day. Right now. Whatever moment you are breathing in, God made this day. Even when times are tough, something about this day is good. There’s always a reason, however small, to find joy in this day. Sometimes we have to choose to look for it. Sometimes we have to ask God to help us find it.
God gives us today as a gift. He wants us to pursue it, not just for selfish ambition but to do something meaningful with it. To use it to grow, to love others well, to help someone, to pursue a dream He’s put on our hearts. This is the day to live without fear of the unknown, without being chained by failure or what-ifs. This is the day to be willing to change, to be open, to believe, to hope. If we don’t attack each day with this intentionality, it’s almost like telling God, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
You were made not just to survive today but to thrive in it. I want to encourage you to stop putting off your dreams, your goals, and the purpose God has for you. It’s time to become the person He has created you to be.
This is the day you can change your own life. Life isn’t just about one day. It’s about this day.
These moments, shocking, heart breaking, and gut wrenching, remind me that life is fragile. And it can be cut tragically short. We don’t know how much time we have on earth. We don’t know how many days we have to spend with loved ones, to say what we want to say, to show our appreciation, to make sure they know we love them.
It’s so important to be supported and to support others in the little things. Be present behind the scenes. Show up when the work is happening. Don’t just turn up for the party.
Or do you believe the same God who performed miracles thousands of years ago is the same yesterday, today, and forever?
I find that the majority of people I come in contact with are problem finders. It’s easy to point out problems. They’re everywhere! But like I tell everyone who works with me and is part of our foundation, don’t just tell me what’s wrong with this or that; offer a solution. Don’t be a problem finder. Be a problem solver.
One of the greatest temptations is to worry instead of pray, trust God, and take action. Worry won’t change anything. When you’re able to shift your perspective to see what’s possible, you have a greater chance of having a positive outcome.
but when you start asking “why” in excess, what you’re really saying is, “God, I don’t trust You.”
“Never let success get to your head. Never let failure get into your heart.”
God made me wonderfully complex and marvelous. (See Psalm 139:14.) I am a child of God. (See Galatians 3:26.) I am God’s masterpiece. (See Ephesians 2:10.) God’s hand is always on me. (See Psalm 139:5.) As a child of God, I am a special treasure. (See Exodus 19:5.) God loves me with an unfailing love. (See Jeremiah 31:3.) I am chosen by God. (See 1 Thessalonians 1:4.)
The goal is not to be rich, famous, or powerful. The goal is to impact as many people as possible for something good, for something right.
Whether we realize it or not, people are watching us. What we say and what we do matter. When we live with purpose, we can make a difference that can leave a lasting impact.
safe. If people around me are hurting, I don’t want to go where it’s safe. I want to bring hope.
Striving to get better at anything takes discipline. You’ve got to live sore. You’ve got to live uncomfortable. You’ve got to make sacrifices. You may hurt today, but you’ll be better for it tomorrow.
As Christians, we are taught to do life in word and action to the glory of God. Working hard at being your best, making the most out of whatever He has given or called you to do, is a way to thank God for this day.
When we try to put ourselves in other people’s shoes, we can give them hope. We can give them a brighter day. We can help make a difference in their lives. Today, Amber has more hope and peace in her heart than she’s ever had. That’s awesome!
“I want to have open eyes to people’s needs, not wanting eyes to my needs.”
As believers, we need to see people not as the world sees them, not even as we, in our frail human minds, see them. We need to see a different picture.
It’s also about knowing that even when life is tough, like when you don’t have the option to do everything you want or your calculated plans go awry, you can choose not to let these hardships destroy you. You can choose to trust God, even when your present circumstances feel overwhelming or even hopeless.
