I don’t believe that my existence is all about a three-day-long controversy. My story does not begin there and it does not end there, which is why this book is not about that.

In books, I found solace. While TV was teaching me how to hate, highlighting the differences between caste, gender, community and religion, teaching my young mind about the existence of ‘the other’, books taught me about experiences, life, loving and forgiving, blurring the lines between me and them.
