Grieving Your Workplace Failures The downside of trying new things and taking more risks is that sometimes you are going to fail. It’s okay to grieve what could have been; after all, it is the death of what you had hoped for. I try to give myself the time and space to feel bad when things don’t work out. To say the words (until I am quite convinced) “It didn’t work” so that I can get past them.
