Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs and Practices

This kind of love goes way beyond nice. It is all-consuming. Christ-like love, like Jesus' very life, is "an offering and sacrifice to God."

Lex orandi, lex credendi. This Latin phrase is loosely translated "the law of prayer is the law of belief." Or, said another way, "you are what you pray."

The prayers that we say in worship should be held in common, that is, they should be available to all people in their native language.

In the wake of the Reformation, Cranmer and others believed that prayer, like scripture, should be available to all people, clergy and laity alike, and that people should be able to read and understand the prayers of the church in their own language.
