A second group claims that the text is all that we need. God has inscripturated his revelation through the use of human authors and language, but the theological meaning of the text is located in the canon, not bound up in the authors’ limitations, humanity, and culture. For this group, a careful study of the text is all that is necessary to glean the truth of God’s Word.
