It is said that one in three people is overworked.37 That very well may be true. But this statistic only reflects recorded, scheduled hours where the person is at work. When we live with our world in our pockets—by virtue of the smartphone—we carry our work around with us everywhere we go. In unprecedented fashion, we can work whenever we desire because phones, personal computers, and Wi-Fi go with us wherever we go. Work is now in our pockets. In fact, 75 percent of those who work more than forty hours a week in a white-collar job in America work on the weekends.38 How is this possible?
