We desperately need obscurity. But our modern world is intent on keeping us from silence and solitude, scheming against moments of quietness and prayer. Silence is scary. Obscurity is difficult. Having a day of rest that may include silence can feel like a very long day. All of these thoughts and fears will run through our minds.
