The Clay Lion

The lion, the cowardly lion, turned out to be the bravest of them all. The courage he sought from the wizard was inside him all along. Maybe I had courage too.

In addition to a fresh coat of paint and new shingles, the entire house was in need of an overhaul. It reminded me of my life.

The weight of that knowledge was like an albatross around my neck.

But there is a reason we had them and there is a reason why we can’t have them anymore.

Today, everything might be fine. Tomorrow, everything might be a disaster. But whatever happens, we have to have faith that we are on the right path. That we are living the life that was made for us. And we have to have courage, even if life doesn’t play out how we want it to.
