To all you sweet, sensitive souls out there in the world— look for the light in the world, in people, in places, in art and music. Light will lift you up.
“You’re born naked and the rest is drag.”
Prayer, getting down on your knees and deactivating that ego, is acknowledging that there’s a presence greater than myself.
You have the power to move on if you’re willing to let go of the limited perception you have of yourself.
Happiness is wanting what you already have.
Doing drag doesn’t change who you are, it actually reveals who you are.
YOU’RE BORN NAKED AND THE REST IS SHADING AND CONTOURING.
DON’T BE AFRAID OF YOUR POWER.
SASHAY ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
HAVING A FAT ASS IS A GOOD THING.
I started this process by borrowing liberally from the pop stars I admired. I took two parts Diana Ross, one part David Bowie, three parts Cher, and a heaping spoonful of Dolly Parton. All of those elements together created the look that made me an international star. I call it Glamazon.
Life is too short to be concerned with what other people think.
STOP TRYING TO FIT IN WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT.
I feel bad for men in our culture. I think we do everyone a disservice by hiding our emotions.
If you stay ready, you ain’t got to get ready.
The biggest obstacles I’ve ever faced were my own self-imposed limitations.
MAY THE FIERCE BE WITH YOU.
You’re actually stronger than you allow yourself to be.
Willingly release the hurt. Don’t let the heartache define you.
Transformation, adaptability, alchemy, and the re-creating of self are the words I live by.
Handle your shit, ladykins!
The struggle is real, henny!
Don’t take life too seriously.
Sometimes I reboot my emotional system by listening to songs that make me cry real hard.
If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?
How much are you willing to leave behind in order to lighten your load?
