Perhaps the best way to gain influence is to lose it. The cultural mandate of Genesis (1:28) is still in effect and applies to all. We need Christians as “salt” and “light” in every aspect of art and craftsmanship and politics and thought leadership, not just in those thought to be “churchly” or “Christian.” But the cultural mandate was rooted in a garden temple-sanctuary, in communion with God.
