CBS (Charles Kurault on the road) that left me in tears. It told the story of a black man, Mr. Black, a bricklayer from North Carolina in his ninety-third year, a thin eager face. Mr. Black was flown, at government expense, to an African country in dire need of building materials and the expertise to learn how to use their own earth for bricks. He showed them how to dig clay, how to make the forms, how to build whole villages at little or no expense. What an imaginative act, for once, on the part of the powers that be!
