Those celebrations are truly about (respectively) the fact that God sent His Son, God forgives sins, God rescues, and God redeems.

We are encouraged not to be weighed down with anxiety but with thanksgiving to bring our requests to God
I trust God. I know that He is here. My confidence need not be in what I can’t see. My confidence is in He who holds my road in His hand. As He reveals to me tomorrow, perhaps next month, or even the next year, I will faithfully live His purposes knowing that whether it is midnight or 3:00 in the morning, He will take me where He wants me to go.
As I heard my friend Jimmy Dodd say in a message one time, “We do not rest because our work is done. We rest because God commands it.”4 And God doesn’t command it because He is a killjoy; He does so because He loves us. He knows our design, and He knows what we need. We need to stop. There will always be work to be done. There will always be another tomorrow to plan for. If I am not careful (and I have been guilty of this), I will rush past the fun and family time of the present in order to get to tomorrow.
