The ties between the Kennedy family and organized crime in America are astounding.
“much brighter than you’d imagine.”
Old Joe served as Ambassador to the United Kingdom for a couple of years, and earned a fortune working with organized crime in bootlegging and in the Hollywood movie industry as the founder of RKO Pictures.
Used to getting what he wanted, he turned to his father’s former naval attaché, who helped him join the Navy. He earned the rank of lieutenant, and eventually commanded several patrol torpedo (PT) boats.
A pretty fast rise, thanks to his connections and money, I’d say.
Bobby had all the traits of an aristocratic, rich, spoiled kid, who never worked.
Among the many people who knew Bobby well, I never heard one favorable comment.
The television news stations just want to come out with the news that will get the most viewers and sell the most commercials.
Even the major newspapers only want to tell a story that increases their circulation, so they can sell more advertising space.
The FBI simply knew too much about the Kennedy family’s illegal activities, especially Old Joe’s bootlegging business.
He said spying on Dr. King would protect the civil rights leader from his enemies. A total lie. He was trying to get something on Dr. King so the man wouldn’t get out of line and would remain under the attorney general’s thumb.
A long relationship with Jack is not corroborated in anything I’ve known or read.
Like my dad once told me, “In my opinion, Al would have been a success in any endeavor he undertook. He had a magnetic personality and was an extremely intelligent
man.”
Dad also told me Capone had one very bad characteristic... he loved the limelight.
What really sold Capone on Willie’s vision was the idea of so many beautiful girls becoming movie stars. He saw them coming from all walks of life... usually poor girls from poor communities, but pretty ones—just like the as-yet unknown Marilyn.
Old Joe went into the movie business for two main reasons. First, he sensed, like the great businessman he was, that the movie industry would become big all around the world.
Second, he knew if the Chicago Outfit controlled the union, his company—RKO—would never have any union trouble. They’d never call a strike. He was correct on both accounts.
Whenever the union told the producers, “If you make this movie, we want Jean Harlow to be the star,” no producer ever argued.
That way, even if a major theater in downtown Chicago booked a non-union movie that day, they could call a projector-operator strike so nobody could show the movie anyway. They had both sides of Hollywood wrapped up in their pockets.
so The Cigar had very little discipline.

In a video The Missing Evidence: The Death of Marilyn Monroe, a documentary published on YouTube on July 20, 2015,
Little did she know it would be the last day of her life.
He spent very little time running the country, and a lot of time running after women. But the number one woman in his life was always Angie Dickinson. But, that’s a tale for another book.
Ruby was from Chicago, and owned burlesque shows. When he left Chicago, The Outfit loaned him the money to open a club in Texas. He went broke and owed them a lot of money.
shot. I did know, though, that organized crime had absolutely nothing to do with his assassination, even though they didn’t like him much.
There really was no correlation between Bobby’s assassination and Marilyn’s murder. She hadn’t done anything to antagonize organized crime, like he had. Organized crime assisted in her murder strictly to keep their favor with Bobby while he served in his high -level political position.
You’ve got to know the only reason she ever dated either of the brothers, was not because she had any political ambition, but because they could help her attain, and maintain, the stardom she’d become accustomed to.
