Just read 30 minutes a day for 7 days straight at the same time as the prior day whenever you are free. That’s it.
Personal use of compounding would be to be particularly regular in doing small good habitual things. Understand that compounding is nothing but using the benefit of using the previously done thing to further amplify it and produce greater benefit.
The lesson from this habit is to take a break and find your own circle of competence! And then act! Everything falls in place and you would find yourself on the right path.
Through this he advises us to have an independent logic from everything that the world is following. The idea is simple – stay away from noise and find your own voice!
Essence of this habit is to follow what you love, irrespective of what others say and then stand your ground. The world will keep on saying a few things and then the same people would criticize you for not being original. Just do what you love and experiment. Have an inner scorecard.
First figure out what is the profession that you love, that you won’t get bored even working at the age of 75. After that, learn skills through courses to be able to meet the experts in the domain. Consult the experts in your free weekend time. Structure the exit plan carefully, save for the transition period from the savings of the current job, if not, set up a passive income source so that you could at least manage your basic monthly expenses and jut get out of there! Focus of what you want, invest in yourself via a course and work towards monetizing it.
Lesson and daily application There are 1440 minutes in a day and that’s all you get to make a difference. Relentless focus demands a strict “NO” for anything that is not among the “5 goals” set from the above mentioned technique in the lesson. Understand one thing that you cannot keep everyone happy all the time. You have to manage your growth and the world will pose its own problem as “yours” to eat your time. Just softly say “NO” and move on. Focus on the top 5 goals and make every minute out of 1440 count.
Wake up early and take 1 hour in the morning. Do your job efficiently and take 1 hour in the evening. Repeat this for 5 days. You have 2 days in spare – free time. So you just advanced ~30 hours a week and in the direction of your goal without affecting your job.
