When I joined Google in 2004, my first job out of college, I’d never heard of OKRs. But over time, they became an indispensable compass to help me and my teams navigate through Google and get the most important work done. One of the first products I worked on, Google Health, taught me the importance of data for improving health care. I also learned just how difficult it can be to gain access to health care data, even one’s own.
