Naturally, one gives all the assistance one possibly can. But beyond that, one doesn’t intrude. There’s a saying that goes, ‘You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.’ Please think of counselling and all other assistance provided to other people in Adlerian psychology as having that kind of stance.
