Technology, while it often appears as opaque complexity, is in fact attempting to communicate the state of reality. Complexity is not a condition to be tamed, but a lesson to be learned.

Consensus – such as the broad scientific agreement around the urgency of the climate crisis – is disregarded in the face of the smallest quantum of uncertainty.

The insistence upon some ever-insufficient confirmation creates the deep strangeness of the present moment: everybody knows what’s going on, and nobody can do anything about it.
