But it can be more peaceful—or at least less chaotic than the experience I just described—if we set ourselves up for success. Here’s what I know: a read-aloud lifestyle isn’t going to happen in our homes by accident. You and me—parents in a busy, fast-paced world crammed full of distractions—have to be intentional about making reading aloud a regular part of family life.
