It is based on the fact that every diseased body has its corresponding healthy body present in the alternative plane of existence. The soul can switch from the diseased body to the healthy body in no time, but the illusionary external world, Maya, keeps the soul trapped in the diseased body. It keeps the soul believing that the diseased body is the only reality.
