we are the objects of His love. You asked for a loving God: you have one.

but when we are such as He can love without impediment, we shall in fact be happy.

When we want to be something other than the thing God wants us to be, we must be wanting what, in fact, will not make us happy.

Rather God is the only good of all creatures:

The guilt is washed out not by time but by repentance and the blood of Christ:

Love, by definition, seeks to enjoy its object.
