The pain one man can cause another is limitless, but I didn’t see—I couldn’t see—how creating more pain made anything better. When you took a life, it didn’t bring back a life.
Concerning this man's time on death row... unbelievable cruelty. It doesn't actually help anyone heal from the pain of being wronged. (Ironically this man was innocent and on death row WORNGLY for 30 years)
try not to ask, “Why me?” That’s a selfish question. Why anyone? Why do we judge some people less worthy of justice? Why does innocence have a price?
This man amazed me. And in light of being a Christ follower - I know that price was already Christ's life. So now we have a responsibility to do better, and forgive. I'm so challenged to think about rehabilitation and mercy for our country's incarcerated peoples. How do we do this better?!
