No one is completely objective. Our opinions are often filtered through such factors as socioeconomic status.

People don’t always give you advice with the purest of intentions.

There are times, like on Father’s Day, where I feel sad about not having my father in my life. However, on most days I am free of the hurt that he caused and the potential for further pain.

we put so much more effort into trying to make something work that we shouldn’t, that when it doesn’t work out, that effort and emotion come crashing down like a heroin withdrawal.
