Know that at the beginning of your career, you are viewed as fresh meat in the lion’s den. 2. You will start at the bottom, but having the skills necessary will give you the means to work your way up. 3. Understand money. If you are dependent on someone else for the roof over your head, you can get boxed in. 4. Explore your sexuality, respect its power. Own it. 5. Respect your choices and own them. I don’t regret my years on Wall Street. They were exciting and fun. I witnessed some historic New York moments from the front row. But I do wonder what I could have been doing elsewhere.
